Dr S. Rekha Reddy is the Founder Director of Vidyanjali Academy for Learning. She has a Ph.D. and M.
Phil. in Cultural Studies from Jain University.
She has an AMI, Montessori Pre-primary Diploma and
Primary Montessori Diploma from Indian Montessori
Centre. Dr Rekha Reddy has over ten years of experience
working with children and has been training teachers
for nearly two decades in Montessori method. Dr
Rekha Reddy has conducted several workshops and
orientation programs for teachers and parents and
directed two full time Diploma courses for Indian
Institute for Montessori Studies. Dr Rekha Reddy
Started Vidyanjali Montessori Training Institute
in the year 2010 as an answer to the growing need
of Montessori teachers in Bangalore North. Since
then, VMTI has conducted 16 Montessori Certificate
Courses both in and out of Bangalore, three Montessori
Primary Diploma Courses, and other short-term courses
like Bridge courses, workshops and Refreshers Courses.
Dr Rekha Reddy, twice, had the honour of being the
Chief Examiner for the Pre-primary Montessori Diploma
course conducted at Indian Montessori Training Centre.
Dr Rekha Reddy has published many research articles
such as ‘Early Childhood Education Through the Ages’,
‘Offering Montessori Online to 2 ½ to 5 ½ year old
children Keeping Montessori Principles intact, Montessori
as an inclusive approach, socio- cultural approach
in Montessori Schools’, ‘Play in early childhood
education’, ‘Role of Toast masters club on English
speaking skills of teachers’, and ‘Blended Learning
is India ready to go Blended?, that have been published
in international and national research journals.
Dr Reddy has written four books to teach Kannada,
English and Hindi to children, and translated a
Maria Montessori’s book, and a Joosten’s booklet
to Kannada. |
